A quiet Cultural Revolution is forming. Nothing like it has existed in human history. There are good reasons to believe the Revolution will continue to grow in number reaching people in every part of the world. This Revolution is not government sponsored, it has no master plan? it is just happening. Members are typically highly creative, bold, social entrepreneurs who care more about child protection, social justice, environmental sustainability, and world peace than the accumulation of personal wealth. For example, Kampala Kids League founded by Trevor Dudley and Lesley Magnay in 1998 helps boys and girls aged 4-14 in Uganda to improve their lives through sport. Since then over 14,000 children from over 160 different Schools, Orphanages and Street Children’s organizations have participated in 50 seasons of football, basketball, baseball and mini cricket activity. Over 2,000 adult volunteers are now trained as coaches and administrators and over 150 different local corporate sponsors have supported the League. We estimate more than five million nonprofit organizations worldwide devoted to the advancement of civil society. In overview, their collective efforts directly address the eight United Nations Millennium Development Goals, thereby providing targets we aim to hit. These nonprofit organizations offer hope in a time of despair. Active membership in World Leisure means joining the Revolution.
