The Quebec Leisure Council (Conseil québécois du loisir) contributes to the social, cultural and economic development of Quebec by encouraging and supporting the practice of leisure activity. It represents national leisure organizations while bringing together groups and individuals involved in leisure development for consultation and consensus-building. It defends the rights of all individuals to dedicate time in the pursuit of leisure activities, and strongly supports unlimited accessibility.
With the goal of promoting all aspects of leisure activity, the Quebec leisure Council encourages dialogue among its members and all those involved in the field, covering every sector -- culture, outdoor activity, sciences, socio-educational and tourism -- while also exploring the issue from a social economic standpoint, independent community initiatives, volunteerism and overall community life.
